Tactile Tour and Workshop: Design Across Time

About

Cooper Hewitt educators bring the Design Across Time exhibition to NYPL's Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library for an interactive tactile tour on the theme 'Repeat', with live verbal description of every object, group discussion and short design exercises, designed for blind and low-vision visitors but open to all adults. The library is at 40 West 20th Street in Flatiron, a block from 23rd St (F, M). Thursday, November 19, 2026, 5:00 to 6:30 pm; free, registration recommended through NYPL. Free design programming below 23rd Street is scarce on our calendar, which lists just one other free Lower Manhattan event right now.
