Natural Dye Methods 101

About

Forager and natural-dye practitioner Ocean Escalanti covers identifying local dye plants, extracting pigment and applying it to fabric, with attention to sustainability and Indigenous knowledge, in the meeting room of the Golden Gate Valley branch, 1801 Green Street in Cow Hollow (Muni 45 Union-Stockton or 41 Union, a block south). It runs 1–2 pm on Saturday, Nov 21 and is free; space is limited and first come, first served. For a deeper, paid dye session, Workshop SF in the Haight runs indigo and shibori evenings.
