Upcycled Journal Workshop
About
Rendell Hourigan shows how to turn cereal and snack boxes into handmade journals: you fold scrap paper into signatures, stitch them with a needle and waxed thread, and decorate the covers with collage or paint, with prompts to get you started. It runs Wednesday, October 21, 6–9 PM, at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High Street (drive/park). The price is $70 ($60 plus $10 materials), and the minimum age is 13. Bookbinding classes in San Francisco usually cost more than this, which makes it a good-value introduction to stitched binding.
