Barn Owl Box Service Project
About
Volunteers help clear old nest debris from barn owl boxes around Del Valle, then pick apart owl pellets to see what the owls ate; about a mile of walking plus ladder climbing, with protective gear provided. Saturday Nov 28 and Sunday Nov 29, 9 am–12:30 pm from the Del Valle Campground Store, 7000 Del Valle Rd, Livermore (drive/park); ages 10+, registration required (codes 60518, 60525), fee not published. It's an unusually hands-on wildlife job that families with older kids snap up.
