A 2.6-mile hike with about 500 ft of gain in Sobrante Ridge Botanic Preserve to see its rare manzanitas, which bloom in winter. Friday Dec 18, 2–4 pm from the Coach Road Staging Area, Coach Dr, Richmond/El Sobrante (drive/park); drop-in, free. Sobrante Ridge protects the endangered Alameda manzanita, a plant found almost nowhere else.
