The District's weekly Wednesday hiking group tackles a 3.7-mile route with up to 1,000 ft of gain and some steep pitches above Carquinez Strait, with long views over the water. Wednesday Oct 28, 9:30 am–12:30 pm from the Nejedly Staging Area on Carquinez Scenic Dr, Martinez (drive/park); ages 8+, drop-in, free. It's a brisk group hike more than a nature stroll, popular with retirees and remote workers.
