Docent naturalists point out plants and animals on a moderately paced 4.5-mile route via the Horseshoe Loop, Sunny Jim and Alpine Loop trails, with about 600 feet of elevation change and a lunch or snack stop at the lakeside picnic areas. It runs Thursday, October 22, 10 AM–1:30 PM, from the Skyline Ridge Circle Parking Area on Skyline Boulevard, about a mile south of the Page Mill/Alpine Road junction (drive/park).
